A lifetime dedicated to building peace, unity, and a better tomorrow for South Sudan.
I was born into a time of great uncertainty, when our people were still navigating the harsh realities of marginalisation, under-representation, and the quest for self-determination. That early experience of inequality and unrest shaped my lifelong commitment: to work tirelessly for peace, justice, and a truly inclusive South Sudan.
Over the past five decades, I’ve served in both the Sudanese and South Sudanese governments — from the parliament floor in Khartoum in 1967, to the Council of States in Juba today. Along the way, I have witnessed our people’s suffering and resilience, our struggles and triumphs. I have been privileged to contribute to policy, peace talks, and national debates, all while advocating for federalism, the rule of law, and a governance system that leaves no one behind.
Today, I continue that mission not just in Parliament, but as a public thinker, author, and voice for constitutional reform. My platform is dedicated to sharing research, historical insights, and practical proposals that support a peaceful and democratic transition for the Republic of South Sudan. I believe that through dialogue, accountability, and visionary leadership, we can build a nation where freedom, equality, and justice are not just ideals, but realities.
Dr. Aldo’s mission is simple: to help shape a South Sudan that is united in its diversity, governed by law, guided by its constitution, and anchored in peace. The journey has been long — but the work is far from over.
Dr. Aldo’s vision is of a peaceful, united South Sudan where every person has the chance to live with dignity, freedom, and hope for a better tomorrow.
Throughout his journey, Dr. Aldo has come to believe that ideas only matter when they’re shared, challenged, and refined.
